Dear Professor,
«IP4,0»Thank you very deeply for your kind letter. Mrs. Riviere had hinted to me that you had written some personal words for my Festheft,«FN1.××Freud (1929a).
» but I felt it more seemly to restrain my curiosity, as I have done in the whole affair. When I read it my gratification will doubtless be all the greater.
I shall certainly look forward to your attempt to convince me about the Americans. At present I am under the impression of being one of the few people with an open mind on the subject, so let us put it to the test.
We shall get to Berchtesgaden in the late afternoon of either the 22nd or 23rd, but I will telegraph to Anna from about Kitzbühel as she has kindly promised to book a room for us. We are very disappointed that she cannot visit us at Elsted after the Congress.
Looking forward to the pleasure of seeing you soon, Yours always devotedly Ernest Jones
