Dear Friends,

There is not much news from here. No news is good news. Last night
Bernard Hart, a very intelligent psychiatrist gave a Presidential Address at the
British Psychological Society which mainly dealt with psycho-analysis. His very
ingenious form of resistance was pierced through and through in the discussion
and we were very satisfied with the result.

The progress of the Society and Clinic is very satisfactory.

The only thing we are uneasy about is the slowness with which inter-
national cooperation is being brought about in regard to the functioning of the
Lehrkommission, and I would commend this matter to Eitingon’s earnest attention.

Ferenczi’s silence is becoming more and more mysterious and I am sure
we shall all be relieved to hear from him.

With best wishes to all for a pleasant Christmas time,

Yours
