Dear Friends:

Congratulations are due to our youngest member on the appearance of
her first book, which I have no doubt will be the first of an important series.
She certainly has her father’s gift for clearness of presentation. About the
contents I must be less enthusiastic, because I am more optimistic than she
appears to be about the application of psycho-analysis in childhood. We shall
look forward to hearing some report of the important discussion she is conduct-
ing in Berlin at present.

Ferenczi’s long letter has just arrived and gives a further picture of
his astounding activity in America. I shall look forward to having some long
talks with him during his transit through England.

Nothing of importance has happened here of late. I propose taking
some of my summer holidays at Easter-time this year and so shall be away from
London from April 3rd. to April 24th. We are going to Paris, Genoa, and the
Riviera.

With kindest regards to all,
Ernest Jones
