    I am glad to acknowledge letter and report of Jan 25th and hope my letter of Febr 24th will have safely arrived.  The imaginative portrait you sent me is very nice, indeed far too nice for the subject.  You will soon occasion [sic] to confirm it with the photo and see that the artist did not take into account certain racial characters,
