Dear Professor:
«IP4,0»Your very kind letter of the 8th came safely, and I thank you for it. I do not think my indisposition has delayed anything in the Press, etc., so I do not feel guilty about it.
In my letter to Frink, which you may have seen, I brought up the matter of American Associate Editors. Yesterday a letter came from Stern enclosing a report of the N. Y. Society in which it is stated that on Feb. 16th that Society "appointed" Frink, Brill, and Farnell as the triumvirate for our «MDUL»Journal«MDNM». Any comments from me are superfluous, and before sending the Report to press I want to know your opinion and decision. I need hardly say that in my request to Brill last October I made it plain that the opinion of the N. Y. Society was only «MDUL»one«MDNM» of the factors which you would have to take into consideration in choosing editors, although of course an important one; in fact I intimated that his own opinion was an even more important factor.
I am glad to say that wife and child are blooming like the spring. The child gives promise of being pretty, taking after my wife quite distinctly, and has a wonderful Jewish smile with twinkling eyes.
Yours very affectionately Ernest Jones
