Dear Professor,
I am glad to be able to send you by this post a copy of Vol. ii of the "Collected Papers". You will see that it contains translations of your latest papers belonging to 1924. Vol. III ‑‑ "Case Histories" ‑‑ has already gone to the printer and is due to be published in March. Vol. IV is not due to be published until next Autumn. We were to have finished the revision of the manuscript by this Christmas, but Mrs. Riviere tells me that it will be impossible to do so before March; that will, however, make no difference to the date of its publication.
I was glad to hear from you about Mr. Farrow. Tansley is revising his manuscript and we shall publish it in the «MDUL»Journal«MDNM».«FN1.××Farrow (1925)«MDNM».
»
Storfer has sent me a list of corrections you kindly inserted in my Wittels' review.«FN1.××Jones (1924c).
» Many thanks.
I read a paper before our Society last Wednesday on the problem of Matriarchy, where I expounded the view that mother‑right was one of the secondary institutions erected to defend against father‑son hostility; decomposition into kind father and stern uncle is of course clear. I hope to write the paper out fully and publish it in the April number of the «MDUL»Journal«MDNM».«FN1.××Jones (1925a).

With kindest regards, Yours always, Ernest Jones
