    Dear Jones

    Freund died this evening, a heavy 
    loss for all of us, no better man 
    among us. But we must not pity him!

    Is it true that you have got no photograph 
    and desire to get one? Answer at once 
    and you shall have it. I am no potentat 
    and always felt a distinct resistance 
    against giving it away as a present. 
    I received some very nice letters from Brill 
    another has been lost. He is all right. 
    About B. another time, when I know more 
    of his neurosis.
